Wine and Love is a list of things lately that has made me want to turn to drinking and things that have made me fall deeper in love with life. Thanks to Walking With Nora for starting this weekly series.

Wine

  • A few developments I can’t disclose have come about that might put my future plans in jeopardy or on hold. Trying to remain positive.
  • My mom and I do not communicate well. We’re both smart, and I learn from her. She learns from me. But the way we talk to each other sometimes proves otherwise. Thinking of ways to change.

Love

  • Clinging to hope.
  • Still excited despite the threat of things not happening the way I want them to.
  • Leaving for South Carolina tomorrow, a road trip with my family. Trying to focus more on that.
  • Design is pouring through me so much this week. :]

    My dad and I sound like you and your mom. We learn so much from each other (and I totally enjoy it). But something about the way we communicate and I know we also frustrate each other sometimes. Ah, family. And ahhhhhh, The South. I have some roots there.

      Communication can be an heirloom. Her mother probably talked to her a certain way and she talks to me in a way that’s influenced by that. But I know a little about communication so I’m trying to communicate the way I want to be communicated with. Not at.

      The South was beautiful. The people can be a little brash, but I mostly encountered sweet ones. :]
