Part of the many resolutions for 2012 was to do something crazy every month. For the month of May I auditioned for X-Factor, the televised singing competition.
In April I decided to do the craziest thing ever: sign up for a televised singing competition. When I was in high school, I really wanted to audition for American Idol but wasn’t able. On May 1, 2012, I finally did it! I hopped a flight to Raleigh, North Carolina, and drove to Greensboro Coliseum to fight for a seat ticket and an audition wristband. I thought it would be harder than expected, but it wasn’t.
I got into town in the afternoon but expected a long line for wristbands and tickets still — totally not the case. I just walked up to the table, turned in my release forms, and was given my seat ticket and wristband.
It was a great experience. I’m so glad I got to do it.
Stay tuned for the full X-Factor audition experience.
